An old wood Cook Stove is just fun to have. They may be old, but even if they have some wear, they can be fixed and used today.
The stove I had needed a few replacement parts and I found them right on Ebay. I hired a gentleman to come and put them in and the total cost was only $150. That old wood stove heated a great portion of the house and I was able to use it for baking bread and cooking some really terrific food.
It eventually turned into a glorified cookbook rack, but in the winter months it was terrific to fire it up and take in the aroma of a pot of home made soup simmering on the back of the stove. Yummy crusty bread fresh out of the oven. Best part? No natural gas bill!
There are a lot of cast iron pots and molds that work great on a wood cook stove. I have a few listed in the store or you can click on any of the following to see a few.
