Antique Tools
Collecting antique tools like the hand made tools our ancestors forged or whittled have become very collectible. I personally own several tools. A pair of snips, screw drivers, saw boxes and pliers have been given to me by my father, who cherished them from his father and grandfather. They are no longer used, but are so well made that they could easily be put back into service as a tool to use. The old tools like mine make a wonderful display in a 3D box, wall hanging.There are several types of hand made tools. Some are innovative, unique, and hard to figure out what they may have been used to fix. They may be from a wood shop or even an old optical shop. Most old tools are quickly recognized by someone who works in the field that tool was once used. It is of most interest to collect tools which are of interest to your own heritage or present job.
